Welcome to our youngest member, James Kennnard of Wiltshire who is 11 years old. The dearth of young growers is a regular old chestnut in the gardening press. We hope that James has begun what might be a lifelong affair with the cultivation and enjoyment of plants.
I have reproduced this document by the famed nineteenth century florist George Glenny, originally published in 1861. It is of more than historic interest, the monthly calendar and his forthright views on cultivation I have found relevant to our modern plants. Copies are available from the Secretary for the small provision of two first class postage stamps.
Good quality enamel badges available from the Secretary £2.75 + p+p
At the time of going to press I have not received any information regarding this year's show. We hope that it will take place as it is our opportunity to reach a wider public.
